                                          NOTICE OF RECEIVERSHIP

To: All persons having purchased a burial right, cemetery lot, grave space, niche, mausoleum, columbarium, urn, or crypt from Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Gray, Georgia 

On January 6, 2021, the Superior Court of Jones County, State of Georgia, issued an Order Appointing Temporary Receiver of Cedar Ridge Cemetery (the “Order”). Pursuant to the Order, the Court appointed Donald F. Roof of Examination Resources, LLC as Temporary Receiver of Cedar Ridge Cemetery (the “Cemetery”) for the purposes of taking possession and control of and managing the Cemetery. Effective March 10, 2021, the Court entered a Stipulation and Consent Order appointing Donald F. Roof of Examination Resources, LLC as Receiver of the Cemetery.

This Notice contains instructions for all persons who purchased a burial right, cemetery lot, grave space, niche, mausoleum, columbarium, urn, or crypt (collectively a “Burial Right:”), or who had the same purchased on their behalf, from the Cemetery to provide evidence of such purchase to Receiver. IF YOU PURCHASED A BURIAL RIGHT AT THE CEMETERY OR HAD ONE PURCHASED ON YOUR BEHALF, IT IS REQUIRED THAT YOU PROVIDE THE INFORMATION REQUESTED IN THIS NOTICE BY NOVEMBER 12TH, 2021 (THE “DEADLINE”) TO ENSURE YOUR BURIAL RIGHT IS PROPERLY RECORDED IN THE RECEIVER’S RECORDS. A FAILURE TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT INFORMATION TO THE RECEIVER OF THE BURIAL RIGHT YOU PURCHASED OR HAD PURCHASED ON YOUR BEHALF BY THE DEADLINE MAY RESULT IN YOUR PURCHASE NOT BEING HONORED BY THE RECEIVER OR ANY SUBSEQUENT PURCHASER OF THE CEMETERY. 

                                              INSTRUCTIONS

If you purchased a Burial Right at the Cemetery on or before January 6, 2021, or had one purchased on your behalf, please mail or email evidence of such purchase, along with your name, address and telephone number to the Receiver at the address below. If more than one Burial Right was purchased, please provide evidence for each and every Burial Right purchased.

Examples of evidence of the purchase of a Burial Right include a Sales Contract, Cemetery Deed, sales receipt or cancelled check. Depending on the evidence you provide, the Receiver may request additional information from you to confirm the purchase and/or the exact location of the Burial Right purchased.
